Why this Recipe Works

Soft, Chewy Cookie Base – The cookie dough is designed to bake up with crisp edges and soft centers, which balances perfectly with the rich Cadbury Egg filling!

Balanced Sweetness – The cookie dough isn’t overly sweet, so the chocolate eggs shine without making the cookies overpowering.

Even Candy Distribution – Mixing the candy egg pieces throughout the dough guarantees chocolate in every bite – not just on top.

Festive, but Easy – Using seasonal candy instantly makes these cookies feel special without adding extra steps or complicated techniques.

Reliable Results – The simple ingredient ratios make this recipe easy to repeat with consistent texture and flavor every time!

Reader, Ella, Commented: “This recipe turned out amazing! I used white and milk chocolate chips instead of Cadbury Eggs because I wasn’t willing to share mine, but the cookie base is great for any sort of add ins!” – 5 Stars

How to Make Cadbury Egg Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Place the Cadbury Mini Eggs inside a Ziploc bag. Using a rolling pin, break the candies into smaller pieces. Keep some pieces larger by only breaking in half. Set aside.

In medium size bowl, whisk together 3 1/4 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp baking soda. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup softened butter, 1 cup brown sugar, and 3/4 cup sugar until fluffy and creamy. Beat in 2 eggs and 1 tbsp vanilla.

Beat the dry ingredients into the wet until cookie dough forms. Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips and all but 1/2 cup crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs. Mix gently until just combined.

Place 1 1/2 tbsp size scoops of cookie dough on the prepared baking sheet, leaving room between the cookies to spread.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Press in additional chocolate chips and crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs into the tops of the cookies right after removing from the oven.

Chop the Cadbury Eggs – Cutting them into pieces helps distribute the chocolate filling evenly throughout the cookies.

Don’t Overmix the Dough – Mixing until just combined keeps the cookies tender instead of dense.

Watch the Bake Time Closely – Slightly under baking keeps the centers soft and chewy while the edges set properly.

Use Parchment Paper – This prevents sticking and protects the creamy candy centers from burning on the bottom.

Space Cookies Well – Leaving room between the cookies helps them bake evenly and look nice!
