Halloween Brownies with Oreo Cookies!
When late Fall arrives I appreciate that sweet spot between mowing the lawn and shoveling the snow. It’s nice to not have to worry about either for a few weeks. We are in that prime time right now and loving it!
A few days ago we mowed for the last time and were reminded how much we love our neighbors, all of them! We have kids our son’s age, retired folks who keep an eye on things, and friends who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
Are you thankful for your friends or neighbors? Bake them a batch of these Halloween Oreo Brownies!
Why this Recipe Works
The Festive Oreos Add Instant Halloween Appeal – Their seasonal colors and designs turn an everyday brownie into a fun holiday treat without requiring extra decorating skills.
The Recipe Balances Simplicity and Presentation – With only a brownie mix and Halloween Oreos, you get a dessert that looks impressive enough for parties, bake sales, and classroom celebrations.
Easy to Customize – I love how you can add candy eyes, Halloween sprinkles, candy corn, or chocolate drizzle to make the brownies even more festive while keeping the recipe simple.

Ingredients You’ll Need
1 box Brownie Mix + Ingredients on Box – The brownie mix provides the rich chocolate base, while the additional ingredients (typically eggs, oil, and water) create a moist, fudgy texture.
18-20 Halloween Oreos – These festive cookies add a cookies and cream flavor, a crunchy contrast to the soft brownies, and a fun Halloween themed look. They can be layered into the batter, mixed in, or placed on top for decoration.

How to Make Halloween Oreo Brownies
Preheat oven according to directions on the back of the box for a 9 x 9 pan. Spray with non-stick spray.
Follow the instructions on the back of 1 box brownie mix to make the batter.
Crush 10 Halloween Oreo’s and gently fold in. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Randomly place 3-4 whole Halloween Oreo’s in the top of the batter. Then break up a few additional Oreo’s and randomly press into the rest of the open areas of the top of the batter.
Spread evenly into prepared pan.
Bake for time suggested on the back of the box for 9 x 9 pan.
Pro Tip: Alternatively, you could use up leftover Halloween candy instead of Oreo’s!
Use a Fudgy Brownie Mix – A fudgier brownie texture pairs perfectly with the crunchy Oreo cookies and creates a richer dessert.
Press Oreos Gently into the Batter – This helps them stay in place while baking and creates a bakery style presentation.
Let the Brownies Cool Completely – Cutting warm brownies can be messy. Cooling allows them to set properly and results in cleaner slices.
For an Extra Indulgent Treat – Top the cooled brownies with a drizzle of melted white chocolate tinted green or purple for a festive Halloween finish.
