These Peppermint Bark Cups are a super easy way to kick off the holiday season!
Why this Recipe Works
Only 4 Simple Ingredients – You don’t need any special equipment or hard to find ingredients to make a festive holiday treat.
No Baking Required – This recipe comes together with melted chocolate, making it an easy holiday dessert for busy schedules.
Easy to Customize – Adjust the amount of peppermint extract, add extra candy cane pieces, or drizzle with additional chocolate for your own twist.
Great for Gifting – These travel well and make a thoughtful homemade addition to holiday treat boxes and dessert trays.
Make Ahead Friendly – Since they store well, you can prepare them several days before holiday gatherings.

Ingredients You’ll Need
1 (11.5 oz) bag Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips – Creates the rich, creamy chocolate base layer that adds classic peppermint bark flavor.
1 (11 oz) bag Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips – Forms the sweet, smooth top layer and provides the traditional peppermint bark look.
1/4-1/2 tsp Peppermint Extract – Adds a refreshing mint flavor that gives these treats their signature holiday taste. Adjust the amount based on your preference.
1/3 cup Candy Cane Crunch – Sprinkled on top for festive color, peppermint flavor, and a delightful crunchy texture.

How to Make Peppermint Bark Cups
Line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
Melt 1 (11.5 oz) bag Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth and melted.
Divide the melted chocolate between each cup evenly. Let sit for a few minutes.
Melt 1 (11.5 oz) bag Ghirardelli white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth and melted.
Stir in 1/4-1/2 tsp peppermint extract and 1/3 cup candy cane crunch. Taste and add additional peppermint extract if desired.
Divide mixture between each cup evenly. Sprinkle additional candy cane crunch on top.
Let harden.
Use High Quality Chocolate Chips – Ghirardelli chocolate melts smooth and creates a rich, creamy bark with the best flavor and texture.
Melt Chocolate Slowly – Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each round. This helps prevent the chocolate from overheating or becoming grainy.
Use Muffin Liners – The liners make it easy to remove and serve the peppermint bark cups while giving them a festive appearance.
Chill for Faster Setting – Place the cups in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to help the chocolate set quickly and evenly.
Make Them Gift Worthy – Place the finished bark cups in holiday treat boxes, cookie tins, or cellophane bags for an easy homemade Christmas gift.
