Copycat Heavenly Hunks

These Copycat Heavenly Hunks are soft, chewy, no-bake oat bites made with simple pantry ingredients and packed with peanut butter and mini-chocolate chips in every bite!

All the Flavor You Love, Made at Home!

Inspired by the popular store-bought snack, this homemade version of Heavenly Hunks is easy to make, naturally satisfying, and perfect for snacks, lunchboxes, or sweet cravings. With no oven required and minimal prep, these oat hunks come together quickly and deliver that familiar, bakery-style texture you love – right from your own kitchen!

Why this Recipe Works

No-Bake Method Keeps Them Soft & Chewy – Skipping the oven preserves that signature tender, bakery-style texture Heavenly Hunks are known for.

Oats Provide Structure Without Dryness – Old-fashioned oats give the hunks body and chew while still keeping them soft – not crumbly or dry.

Balanced Sweetness – The sweetness is just enough to mimic the store-bought version without overpowering the peanut butter and oats.

Easy to Portion Like the Original – The dough is easy to press and slice into chunky squares or hunks, just like the packaged snack!

Great for Make-Ahead Snacks – I love how these copycat hunks store well in the fridge, making them perfect for meal prep, lunchboxes, or grab-and-go treats.

Ingredients You’ll Need

2 cups Peanut Butter – Acts as the creamy base and main binder, adding rich flavor and helping the hunks hold together.

1 cup Honey – Naturally sweetens and binds the mixture while keeping the texture soft and chewy.

3 cups Old Fashioned Oats – Provide structure and hearty chew, giving the hunks their signature oat-based texture.

1 tsp Vanilla – Enhances the overall flavor and adds warmth to the peanut butter and honey.

1/4 cup Mini-Chocolate Chips – Adds pops of chocolate throughout without overpowering the oat and peanut butter base.

How to Make Copycat Heavenly Hunks

NOTE: You can leave these in bigger pieces to make No Bake Peanut Butter Oat Bars .

Line a 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper. Set aside.

In a medium sauce pan, stir together 2 cups peanut butter, 1 cup honey, and 1 tsp vanilla until melted.

Remove from heat and mix in 3 cups old fashioned oats until well combined.

Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle 1/4 cup mini-chocolate chips on top.

Place in refrigerator until firm. Once firm, cut into bite size pieces.

Custom Size – You can make these any size you’d like, just change the pan size to 9 x 13 or 9 x 9. You can also cut them into No Bake Peanut Butter Oat Bars!

Peanut Butter Variation – If you want a little crunch, just use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.

Vegan Alternative – You can use vegan mini-chocolate chips instead of regular.

Storing Tip – I recommend keeping these covered in the refrigerator. They are easiest to hold and eat when they are firm. When they are left out of the refrigerator, they get soft quickly. A thicker bar holds together better. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week for best texture.
