Ricotta Stuffed Shells

I want to give a huge shout out to everyone who takes time to help pick up trash in the Spring! It is such a big job – it takes teams of people! I especially love that our local businesses have adopted highway’s and have assumed the big responsibility of keeping them clean. They collect miles of garbage every year and I wish I could thank each of them individually!

Let’s do our part by making sure we pick up trash when we can. Instead of stepping over it in the parking lot on the way to get the ingredients for these Easy Stuffed Shells , pick it up and throw it away!

And while you are there, grab what you need for these Easy Garlic Knots and No Bake Cherry Cheesecake Bars to complete your meal!

What You’ll Need

3 cups Marinara Sauce

6 oz Jumbo Shells

1 1/2 cups Ricotta Cheese

1/2 lb Mozzarella Cheese

2 tbsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp Basil

Parsley

Grated Parmesan

How to Make Stuffed Shells

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray, spread 3 cups marinara sauce on the bottom of the pan, and set aside.

Cook jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until they are al dente, meaning slightly under cooked. They will finish cooking in the oven.

Once cooked, strain and set aside to cool so you can hold them to stuff.

Meanwhile, make the filling by mixing together 1 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese, 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese, 2 tbsp onion powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp basil.

Fill each shell with the ricotta filling and place in the pan, open side up.

Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and parsley over the top of the open shells.

Bake for 25 minutes.

Pro Tip: Cook an additional 2-3 extra shells in case some rip or break apart.
