I needed some branches cut after a very long day of yard work. We were both exhausted but it was the last thing on my list and I really just wanted to start the week off without it looming over me. It would only take a few minutes, so I got to thinking…

If I asked him to show me how to use the chainsaw he’d want to know why… once he found out what I wanted to do with it there was no way he was going to let me do it! Then, he’d offer to do it for me because he’s afraid I will hurt myself. My genius plan unfolded just as predicted!

I asked, he said no way, then cut the branches for me! Wa-la. I thought I outsmarted him, until he told me he knew what I was doing!

My performance was just about as amazing as these Reese’s Stuffed Brookie Bars! I’m telling you, have an exit strategy for these babies before you make them. Because once you smell them baking, then take a bite, all control is lost. They are soooo dangerously good!!

What You’ll Need

16.5 oz tube Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

24 Reese’s Cups, Unwrapped

Brownie Mix + Ingredients on Box

How to Make Reese’s Stuffed Brookie Bars

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Press a 16.5 oz roll of chocolate chip cookie dough evenly into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.

Unwrap 24 Reese’s cups and layer them on top of the cookie dough upside down.

Prepare a box of brownie mix as instructed on the back of the box.

Pour batter over the Reese’s cups and spread evenly.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
