Cranberry Bliss Bars Recipe

I love dessert recipes that work for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. These Cranberry Bliss Bars are just that! They make such a nice treat for people to graze on when entertaining. Which I never actually do, but wish I did!

A few things you should know, though. You don’t have to go to the trouble of cutting these into triangles. They taste just the same if you keep it easy by cutting them into squares! And you can add 1/2 tsp of orange extract to the cookie batter if you’d like to make it a little zesty!

What You’ll Need for the Bars

2 1/2 cups Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1/4 tsp Ginger

1 cup Butter, Melted

1 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup Sugar

3 Eggs

1 tsp Vanilla

1 cup White Chocolate Chips

3/4 cup Dried Cranberries

And the Cream Cheese Frosting

1 1/2 cups White Chocolate Chips

1 (8 oz) Cream Cheese, Softened

2 cups Powdered Sugar

1-2 tbsp Milk

1/2 tsp Vanilla

1/3 cup Dried Cranberries, Chopped

How to Make Cranberry Bliss Bars

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray.

In a small bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp ginger.

In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup melted butter, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup sugar. Mix in 3 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla.

Add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until well combined. Fold in 1 cup white chocolate chips and 3/4 cup dried cranberries.

Spread the batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool.

To make the frosting, melt 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval.

Pour half of the melted chocolate into a medium size bowl. Add in 1 (8 oz) softened cream cheese and 2 cups powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy. Then add in 1-2 tbsp milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Beat until well combined.

Spread the frosting over the cooled pan of bars. Chop 1/3 cup dried cranberries and sprinkle over the frosting. Then drizzle the remaining melted white chocolate over the bars.

Let chill at least 30 minutes before cutting and serving.
