Halloween Crack with Saltine Crackers

I blinked and summer was half over. Next thing I knew school supplies were in stores and now Halloween candy is stocked! Before I know it Fall will be here and trick or treaters will be at my door! Where does the time go?!

This Halloween Crack is the perfect treat to make when the time gets away from you. It’s super easy to make, your kids will have fun decorating, and there won’t be any left because it’s highly addictive!

What You’ll Need

40 Saltine Crackers

1 cup Salted Butter

1 cup Brown Sugar

2 cups Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips

Halloween Sprinkles

How to Make Halloween Crack

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Line a 10 x 15 baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick spray.

Place 40 crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Combine 1 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar in a saucepan, stirring frequently, and bring to a boil. Keep stirring continuously for 5 minutes after boil is reached.

Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.

Place the pan in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let sit until the crackers settle, just a minute or two. Using a butter knife, push any crackers that are overlapping back into place. Then immediately sprinkle 2 cups chocolate chips over the top.

Let sit until you are able to spread the melted chocolate chips over the saltines.

Sprinkle Halloween sprinkles and/or candy on top and let toffee sit until cool.

Cut or break into pieces to serve.

Make Ahead – You can easily make this ahead of time. Just store in a sealed container.

Toffee Mixture – Be careful not to cook too long. It will burn and/or cool too hard.
