An easy to make vegetarian sandwich spread using mashed hot dogs! Mix in diced pickle and/or onion if desired.

We are the sum of the people we spend the most time with. I love the people I am surrounded by, very much, and I have them to thank for influencing who I am today!

One of my friends has always encouraged me to be honest when it would be easier for me not to be. I refer to her advice often and the Bible verse that says, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but an enemy multiples kisses.” (Proverbs 27:6) We keep it real and I love her deeply for it.

Another friend is absolutely hilarious. Just about everything she says is witty and light hearted! I try to be funny and only make it awkward. She reminds me of Ken Davis’ motto, “Lighten up and live!”

Another friend lives by, “It always works out!” She truly doesn’t worry about anything and really believes everything will work out, even when it seems like it won’t. She believed in me when I was in the early stages of quitting my ‘real job’ and said, “What’s the worst that can happen?” She gave me courage.

And another friend of mine and I seem to have been separated at birth! We can look at each other and know what the other one is thinking. We’ve been through decades of life together, and what a roller coaster it’s been!

There are notes in my Bible further explaining some of the verses that need clarifying. I was reading one about God’s blessings and the notes explained blessings come in many different forms, listing examples we might not think of. Some people just assume when God blesses it’s with money. But, that’s not true. It could be an old car that’s kept running, our health, our family, or talents… the list goes on forever!

When I count my blessings, I count my friends, family, my church family, and the many children in my life!

Most of the world won’t know what Big Frank Sandwich Spread is, or where to even get Big Franks. You can order them through Amazon or Walmart! This recipe is really for my Adventist peeps who have cases of these hot dogs at home.

What You’ll Need

1 can Big Franks

Mayonnaise

How to Make Big Frank Sandwich Spread

Drain 1 can Big Franks.

Pulse them in a food processor until you have sandwich spread consistency.

Transfer to a bowl. Stir in desired amount of mayonnaise and mix until well combined.

Pickles – You may mix in diced pickles if desired.

Onions – You could also mix in diced onions if desired.

Vegan – Make this sandwich spread vegan by swapping the mayonnaise for vegan mayonnaise.

Bread – Our favorite bread to use is a croissant, or croissant buns. We also love Artisan bread!

Crackers – You can use this as a spread for crackers, too!
